Membership in the National Association of REALTORS
entitles licensees to use the term "Realtor" in their marketing
materials. However, the most valuable benefit is the REALTOR Code of
Ethics, which creates the true value that makes the real estate business a
profession. It ensures that, in business involving REALTORS, the client's
interests are always protected.
2. Are all licensed real estate agents
REALTORS?
No,
a licensed agent has to have membership in the National Association of
REALTORS.
3. What is the procedure for listing a property?
First of all, call your
Realtor of choice. You should ask about the services offered and how your
property will be marketed before making a choice. They will set up a time to
view the property that you want to sell, do a market analysis on it, and then
discuss the value with you so you may arrive at a market listing price. Then,
the Realtor will complete the necessary listing agreement with price, length of
listing, etc. and submit it to you for your signature.
4. Can I go to a different company from
the one whose sign is on the property for a showing of the property?
Yes, most real estate offices
co-broke with other offices and are more than happy to share the listing. Our
office offers Buyer Agency Services to represent the Buyer’s best interests in
transactions with other Brokers.
